MORRIS BELLS MAKING

Make your own set of morris bells to wear, ready to join in with the dancing action throughout the day!
MORRIS DANCING WORKSHOP

Workshop. Age 7+
Lively session, with music, perfect for beginners! Led by Mayfly Morris, Whitchurch’s local team, you’ll learn the joyful, rhythmic moves of Cotswold-style dancing.
CORN DOLLIES with Sally

Try your hand at a beautiful rural tradition! Create your own Countryman’s Favour to wear & personalise it with your choice of ribbon & charm. Now sadly red-listed as endangered, this is a unique chance to help keep this craft alive.
BEAST PUPPET MAKING

Design and create your own Hobby Horse (‘Obby ’Oss) morris beast puppet, celebrating this quirky tradition!
INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING & CRAFT

Join storyteller Amanda Kane-Smith as she brings to life our local dragon legend, The Wherwell Cockatrice. Our unlikely hero saves the day! Afterwards, make your own dragon puppet to take home or fly in the parade!
SINGING & MAKATON

Workshop. Age 3-8
Join Charles Allison for a joyful session full of folk songs. This is a lively, inclusive workshop where children can sing, sign, and take part in the music together—no experience needed, just a love of singing & fun!

Make your own beast-themed crafts ready for the Parade. We’ll be making simple headdresses to wear, wands to wave, and puppets to process in the parade!

Join Amanda fromMerry-Go-Round Storytelling as she brings the classic tale of Jack & The Beanstalk to life with music, movement, early years drama & lots of imaginative fun. Including sensory props & a chance for you to pretend to be characters from favourite fairytales.
JUNK MODELLING: Creative Creature & Magical Monsters

Drop-in. Age 3+
Let’s get creative! Come and make what your imagination wishes, using recycled materials. The possibilities are literally endless!
SQUEEZEBOX WORKSHOP

Learn to make music at this marvellous melodeon workshop! Led by Amber Stonehouse from FolkActive. Child-sized melodeons will be provided.
