How can I volunteer?
If you’d like to volunteer at the Whitchurch Folk Festival, you can reach out to us on info@whitchurchfolk.com and let us know your availability. We will be opening a more detailed volunteers page on this website in due course.
Do I need a ticket to enjoy the Fringe Festival and the Children’s Folk Festival ?
No, you don’t need a tickets for Fringe Festival or Children’s Folk Festival events – those are free of charge and open to all.
Is there a local campsite?
While it is out intention to grow the festival and incorporate camping in the neighbouring fields from next year, this first event will be a single-day series of concerts and events held at venues within the town itself. The nearest campsites are Spring Hill Wild Camping (4 miles from Whitchurch) and Big Northdown Farm (6.5 miles from Whitchurch). Neither are directly affiliated with Whitchurch Folk Festival.
Can I bring my dog?
With the exception of guide dogs, your furry friends are not permitted inside the festival venues. Sorry!
Can I bring my own food and drink?
We will have stalls for food and the town has plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops. While we’d prefer if you didn’t bring your own food and drink into the venues (the Methodist Church and Baptist Church are strictly no alcohol establishments anyway), you’re welcome to eat and drink as you please around the rest of the festival and town.
Can I buy tickets on the door?
For those hoping to attend individual concerts, ceilidhs or workshops, tickets may be available on the door. Please note availability is not guaranteed, and priority will be given to festival ticket holders.
Can I run a stall?
If you’d like to apply to be a stallholder, please get in touch on info@whitchurchfolk.com.
What age children are the free Children’s festival events suitable for?
Each music, dance, singing or other workshop is designed for a particular age group, ranging from very young children and up. Further details on the children’s festival will be published nearer the time.
Are the indoor venues accessible?
All indoor ticketed events are seated or have seating available. The venues are accessible for wheelchair users. Contact us on info@whitchurchfolk.com for more information, support or assistance in accessing the festival events. Our volunteer stewards will be happy to help with your access needs on the day.
Where can I buy CDs and other artist merchandise, and festival merchandise?
We will be announcing a central sales point for artist merchandise nearer the time. Watch this space!
Will I need to bring cash?
While we aim to be fully card compatible, we would recommending keeping some cash on you. There are cash machines in the town at Tesco Express (Winchester Street) and Co-Op (Church Street).
How do I apply to play?
The main line up programme is now complete however please email info@whitchurchfolk.com if you are a local musician or act who would like to enquire about being part of the free festival or be scheduled for a busking spot.
