Food & drink options around Town

Whitchurch is home to great pubs, top-notch coffee and superb takeaways.

Kudos Coffee

In many ways the heart and soul of Whitchurch, Kudos is nearly always packed full of kindred spirits, coffee lovers and people in need of a decent bit of cake. It was in the back room that Paul Sartin and Jon Wilks began cooking up the idea of relaunching the Whitchurch Folk Festival…

The Kings Arms

Huge thanks to Steve and the team at the Kings Arms for hosting the Fringe Stage! This quintessentially English pub offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Known for its traditional charm, this establishment serves a variety of local ales and classic pub fare. It’s a popular gathering spot for locals and visitors alike, embodying the heart of community life.

The Blue Ginger

The Blue Ginger in Whitchurch, Paul Sartin’s favourite local restaurant, stands out for its exquisite Indian cuisine. Renowned for its vibrant flavors and warm ambiance, this restaurant is a local culinary gem, offering a delightful dining experience with a menu that beautifully encapsulates the essence of traditional Indian dishes.

The White Hart

The White Hart, a charming hotel, pub and restaurant in the centre of town, is set to host many of the festival’s traditional tunes sessions. Renowned for its cozy atmosphere and delightful cuisine, it offers a perfect blend of local hospitality and cultural vibrancy, making it an ideal venue for music enthusiasts and food lovers alike.

Hot Spice

If you’re looking for a great little takeaway, you can’t say fairer than Hot Spice, situated opposite the White Hart. Wonderful Indian cuisine, reasonable prices, a wonderful welcome always guaranteed.

Whitchurch Charcoal Grill

Looking for kebabs, burgers and pizzas? This little takeaway next door to Kudos will see you right. Tends to get a little busy late in the evening when the pubs empty.

Blue Rickshaw

Just up the road from Hot Spice you’ll find Hampshire’s best fish and chips and Chinese takeaway. Go for the Kung Po King Prawn – you won’t be disappointed.
